How To Get Keys In Csgo

You can get chests on market, or random drop. Keys are purchase or trade only.

They are the folks that buy the keys or gain them from trades most likely

The guns and boxes drop at random. But the keys every1 has to play from the market.

People can buy the keys directly from Valve using the in game store.

Well you get skins, crates and cases from drops, but I've been asking myself how keys have got into circulation myself. If people are buying keys in game that are more expensive than in the market you would be losing money by selling them on the market (VALVe takes their cut as well).

Unless they trade other items for keys, but I've seen some of the same people selling dozens and dozens of keys. Where did these people get all these keys..and so fast? I'm talking right after the update came out.

There are countries where the keys are cheaper... currency exchange...

Well, most likely somebody bought a ton of keys. Then, they were used for trade [Ex. 6 keys for an FN P2k Fire Elemental]. The person who received the keys for the trade sells them.

Anyone can buy keys right from valve in game for $2.49
Most keys on the market are up prices and shouldn't be bought.

I believe that keys get into circulation in large amounts due to scams and account breaks, which makes it possible for the offender to sell a batch for a fraction of the price. The other option is ofc trading a good weapon for keys. But serious, I believe it's the "black market" that supplies the large batches.

I myself (with little if nothing to trade) was approached by some fraud with an offer to buy cases for $. He (acting as a she from my town, ready to 'go on a walk in the nearby park') first makes an offer, then cancels the deal and makes a new offer where he/she gets the cases for no money return.

An unexperienced eye may click accept still seeing the offer with $ under the actual 0$ offer. I believe people fall for that and voila - Houston, we have keys :/
